We have made a very important change in the TM-xxxx-xxxx adapter module life expectancy. |

1. |
All the T400 adapter module (Parts TM-xxxxx-xxxx) ship after Nov 1st 2010 has increase the life expectancy. |

All the UBGA change to 40,000 which is much more then the socket’s life expectancy (typical @10,000) |
| |
All non BGA type socket TSOP, SOIC...etc has change the life expectancy to 80,000 which is also much more then the socket’s life expectancy (typically @30,000) |

After install the SW 3.40, a new function under Diagnostic ICON (read Adapter information) is available for customer to read how many times the socket been used, in this example it shows 5453 count on this adapter module. |

when the adapter reach 90% of its life expectancy, the programmer will alert the message (socket on module X will reach life expectancy, this message will display once per 100 operation) |

When the adapter reach 95% of its life expectancy, the programmer will alert the following message in the screen (socket on module X will reach life expectancy , this message will display once per 10 operation) |
| |
When the adapter reach 99% of its life expectancy, the programmer will alert following message in the screen (socket on module X reach life expectancy , this message will display in every operation) |
| |
Those warring message is to let user take action to order the new adapter without surprise and influence the production schedule. |

When the socket reach 100% of its life expectancy, the program will alert following message (socket on module X reach life expectancy, contact supplier for order new adapter of refurbish). |

And the T400 will not allow the use perform any operation, program, verify… |

3. |
For customer who has the TM-XXXX-XX adapter module which already reach the socket life expectancy and can't use any more Advantech Equipment offer a new service. |

Parts No. : CK-TM-ADP (Refurbish service for T400 adapter module) |
| |
This refurbish service include clean, socket checking and full testing, if the socket is still useable, Advantech Equipment will add the new life count on this adapter modules, if the module with BGA socket, this refurbish will add another 10,000 counts for the module with this service, if the module with non BGA module, this service will add another 30,000 counts. |

If the socket is damage and can't use any more, customer need to order a new TM-XXXX-XX adapter module. |
